Dark Winter Nights is an effort to define and share the Alaskan Experience, particularly through the winter months, when the sun is seldom seen.
The mission of Dark Winter Nights: True Stories from Alaska is to share with the world what life in Alaska is really like. They do this by having everyday Alaskans tell their amazing true stories from Alaska on stage in live events, in radio broadcasts, and on their podcast. The New York Times called Dark Winter Nights’ podcast the “best winter podcast for storytelling lovers” and stories from the show have been broadcast nationally on NPR’s Weekend Edition.
