Welcome to the North Star Community Foundation website.

The North Star Community Foundation (NSCF) operates exclusively for charitable purposes as a 501(c) (3) designed to aid and assist the general welfare of the citizens of Fairbanks and the North Star Borough; to support the development, growth and preservation of the community; to benefit, provide funds for, and improve the quality of life for all citizens especially those in need; to improve the standards and potentialities of Interior Alaska and more specifically the Fairbanks North Star Borough.

Passing the Hat for Fairbanks Homeless

The North Star Community Foundation is 'Passing the Hat' to gain donations to support the FHHC in their mission.  The goal of the campaign is $20,000 which will enable two upcoming FHHC events (see below)  Through the generosity of the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, Alyeska Pipeline, and Golden Heart Rotary the challenge grant of $10,000 has been established.

Every dollar you donate to the Winter 2017 Pass-The-Hat campaign will be matched by a dollar from the challenge grant.

Welcome to our 2017 drive. A donation in dollars will secure food for Santa's Helpers to distribute to families in need this holiday season. At the end of November, volunteers will also be collecting toys to accompany food deliveries in time for Christmas.

These community volunteers are keeping the Fairbanks tradition of Santa's Clearing House alive through its affiliation with North Star Community Foundation. Contact santashelpersak@gmail.com to join in the effort.

We are the water keepers — the Friends of Fox Spring. We are actively working together to protect a precious community water resource: our Fox Spring.

The state has operated Fox Spring for more than 50 years and thousands of local citizens depend on this supply of good water. Interior Alaskans understand the state budget constraints and the need for financial contributions, and Friends of Fox Spring gladly accept that responsibility.

Help us keep Fox Spring Flowing.
